Yes, welcome back to this website. It had vanished from the cyberface for a whole day and a half there, leaving avatars and various displaced characters floating around without a board to rant on. It seems Uncle Billy had maybe forgot to put his 50p's in the meter, but he's come through for us all and brought this board back as good as it ever was. Hooray for Beefcake!

Today, (10/09/02) any posts made after about 12pm have dissapeared, and the board itself was M.I.A for a while. Dont worry, its not a return of the gremlins. Beefcake was simply having his server pipes cleaned out and upgraded. Normal service should hopefully be resumed so dont go emailing me or Beefy and moaning bout it OK?
And I may well be out of radio contact for a while down in cockney land for a few days as of tomorrow so play nice kids.

God and Allah only knows how but i've managed to resurrect the message board. Any body who's been here in the last couple of days will have realised it was looking very sparse, like the gremlins had had a feast, and you couldn't post new shit for them to munch on.
Well now most of it is back, the posts that caused the error in the first place each time are gone i'm afraid, forever gremlin fodder but the rest are all back, and you can put new ones on once again. Oh happy happy joy joy!

Well there hasn't been any new members join for a while, blame it on the recession, blame it on lack of interest, blame it on the taliban, blame it on the boogie, whatever, i prefer to blame it on the fact that it was physically impossible to register. Well thanks to a rather dodgy bit of webfudging it now works, and so does the memberlist option at the top.
Only f2s server 44 can fuck things up now!

Bit of an update on the shaky health of this newborn board, which very nearly had be put down. Basically the post eating gremlins were getting worse, and any attempt i made to fix this resulted in more disintegration of the board, things were disappearing left, right & centre. So i trawled through various help files and support forms till someone suggested i upgrade to the latest (but still trial) version of the board software.
So i downloaded it, spent ages installing it, followed the instructions to the letter, and lo and behold, the whole thing completely buggered. Not even a board there at all, just an internal server error.
Smacking the computer and moaning at my mom at the sheer crapness of it all had little effect, nor did posting repeated cries for help on support forums. But if you're reading this then hopefully my amateur surgery on the board's most complicated intestines has worked. Haven't got a clue what i did really, just dicked about till it re-appeared. Some of the pics are a still fucky, and everyone's gonna have to learn how to navigate round this slightly new style board (apart from spychimp i think everyone has picked it up quite well) but maybe its on the road to recovery?
